For those that don’t know Nu Directions is a label based in the midlands show casing the hot new talent in the Drum and Bass scene. We have been lucky enough to be given a copy of the labels first album.
This the first album in what looks like to be many is a live selection of some of the old tunes on the label along with a lot of new material. It has tracks from many well known artists and producers.
Names like Cedar, ASC, Q Project and Pariah are just a small selection of the high quality artists that feature on this album.
The CD version is mixed by Tricksta and includes bonus video footage. The track selection brings some of the older material to life once more and gives life to previous tunes that have yet to see the light of day. When the album is released in August 2002 it will be available on triple pack vinyl that will contain extra tracks which will not be available as singles on the label.
Also scheduled for release some time this year hot on the heals of the first the next album will be RE:MIXED EMOTIONS mixed by mystic. This will be a selection of tracks of the first album remixed by another top selection of producers.
All that is left to say about this fine selection of drum & Bass is GET IT !!!. The triple pack will be a collectors piece one day. There is a lot of good things left to come from this label so what this space.
